Lovely cream coloured thick knee high socks made in Italy from all natural materials. Sheep and alpaca wool are incredibly soft, warm and comfortable. By combining these materials Lana Bambini created socks that are all natural and warm.

These socks have a few strings of elastane in the top, to help keep them in place. Other than that they contain no synthetic content like nylon and the wool is not treated with chemicals making them healthy for your skin as well. Because they are made from completely breathable fibres they don't hold odour or cause you to sweat like synthetics might.

NOTE:  Lana Bambini socks are unique in that they are made from finest natural fibres, natural dyes, organic cotton and wool from non-mulesed sheep without the inclusion of man made nylon, they are made in small factories with care in Italy. As these socks do not contain nylon or other man made fibres (other than a few strands of elastane at the top of the socks to keep them in place) they are more prone to wear than a regular sock and must be treated with care, hand washed and air dried.  Footwear could have a major influence on the lifetime of your socks. If the insides or insoles of your shoes are lumpy or worn it could damage your socks more easily.

Worn just 6 times, already full of holes

Received May 19th, worn just 6 times, carefully hand washed once, now both socks have large holes in the heel. Extremely disappointed.

Hi Graham,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.

The Lana Bambini socks you purchased are made without any synthetic (man-made) fibres. While this provides the natural fibre benefits many of our customers prefer, synthetic fibres do significantly increase the durability and lifespan of a sock. This is also one of the reasons why darning socks, as was commonly done in the past, is much less common today.

The lifespan of any sock can vary considerably depending on a number of factors, including how well the footwear fits, how frequently the socks are worn, the type of activities they are used for, and how they are washed and cared for.

I would also like to note that, as a gesture of goodwill, our store provided you with a refund for this pair of socks.

We appreciate your feedback and thank you for giving our socks a try.
