The Sockery began back in 2014 by Julia, Sock Boss, after finding it difficult to find the fun and funky socks she wanted, in Australia, for her, then, teenage daughter. Now, all these years on, The Sockery has come to be the sock specialists in all types of quality socks.
Julia’s ethics and passion for socks are mirrored in her three adult children who have basically grown up with ‘socks for breakfast’! Together they enjoy the outdoors, as a common interest, and you may even catch one of her children modelling socks on The Sockery’s socials!
Julia is now an ‘empty nester’ and fills her time, with her love of the outdoors, bushwalking, gardening and is even a licenced wildlife carer. She lives in the beautiful Blue Mountains, where The Sockery is also based, surrounded by the Australian bush and our wonderous wildlife she so loves. Julia is a strong advocate of the environment and believes our actions really do matter, a quality she implements in the day to day running of The Sockery.
Since its inception The Sockery has grown, not just in socks, but in team members. Julia now has sock helpers, a varied bunch, who also align with her love of nature, the environment and animal welfare.
