Delivery

We use Australia Post for all orders. We are sorry but there is no local pick up available. 

All orders are packed in compostable packaging or on occasions recycled packaging. 

Orders are sent out the day after you place your order, during business hours. Australia Post does not collect on weekends and public holidays so no orders leave on the weekends. For example, an order placed Friday will be dispatched the following Monday morning.

Standard  Delivery:

• A delivery fee of $9.95 per order  is charged unless you qualify for free shipping. Express shipping is $13.95.
• Free shipping is granted to those orders over $120 in value after all discounts are applied and not including postage. Does not apply to overseas orders.
• Delivery can take up to 6 - 8 business days (weekends are not included).  For delivery to more remote areas and to SA & WA please allow up to 5 extra days for delivery (some areas can be even more that this – please see Australia Post web site for estimated delivery times).
• All orders are sent out with signature required unless you let us know otherwise.  If you are not home and the order is taken to the local post office you typically have 10 days to collect the item before it is returned to us.  A return fee of $14.50 will be charged on all orders that are returned to The Sockery as this is the fee Australia Post charges us.  
• If you opt for delivery without a signature and the order goes missing we are not able to take responsibility for it's non delivery.  

 

Express Delivery:

• Available for $13.95 per order
• If you live in a capital city delivery is normally within two business days (once packed and sent). Delivery to South Australia & Western Australia can take up to 8 business days (week ends not included). Delivery may take longer if you live in a rural area. Please see Australia Post website for estimated delivery times

 

Returned Items:

 If you made a mistake, or your computer auto-filled your shipping address incorrectly, please contact us by phone or email as soon as possible. We hope we are able to catch your order before it goes out with the postie and therefore send them on their way to the correct place. As we pride ourselves on fast despatch time please don’t delay.

If your order has already been shipped, or should you not notice you have entered an incorrect address and your order gets returned to us, we reserve the right to pass on a $14.50 Return to Sender Fee. This is to cover the fee that Australia Post charges us for every returned package. We will deduct this amount from any refund owing to you or provide you with store credit, minus this fee, to make a purchase with the correct shipping details. International Delivery Options  – To New Zealand standard delivery costs $15.50 and comes with tracking.   Express Post is offered for $28. There is no free shipping on overseas orders.

We no longer ship to other overseas locations due to increasing customs and duties costs.
